CORE VALUES - EAST GOSHEN FRIENDS CHURCH

We value Biblical teaching We find answers to life’s challenges and guidance for daily living in God’s Word.

Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”

We value the fellowship of church familyWe meet together to encourage, support, and share our lives with each other.

Hebrews 10:24-25, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

We value strong family relationships We share faith and experiences across generations to help strengthen families.  We welcome you as Christ welcomes all, with love and understanding.

Ephesians 5:1-2, “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

We value unity We submit first to Christ’s authority, then respect the contribution of each individual as we seek to achieve a common purpose.

Ephesians 4:16, “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

We value outreach to a needy world.  We serve God with generous hearts to meet both local and global needs.

Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

We value the power of prayer We deepen our personal relationships with Christ through prayer.  We seek his guidance and wait expectantly for his direction in response to our united prayers.

Acts 1:14, “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”

All Scripture is taken from the New International Version of the Holy Bible.                                                         September 16, 2015
